Rosalía returns to heaven’s birthplace: new world tour sets Buenos Aires’ dates

Date:

Spanish pop star Rosalía recent short visit to Buenos Aires was just a teaser, as the artist is set to return next year to the city where, to quote her exact words, “the sky was born.” This time fans will get to see much of her, as she will present her latest album Lux. The artist’s Lux World Tour 2026, which was announced on Thursday, will include two shows at the Movistar Arena stadium on August 1 and 2 of next year.  Ticket sales will begin on December 11th at 10:00 a.m. at the stadium’s official website. Banco Santander clients will be granted a pre-sale via their credit cards one day earlier, on December 10th, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Rosalía’s Lux World Tour 2026 will be the longest one in her career to date. Set to kick off on March 16, 2026, it will land in 17 countries, including Colombia, Chile, Brazil and Mexico. Her last show in Argentina took place on March 17, 2023, at Lollapalooza Argentina. The artist released her fourth album Lux on Nov. 7, 2025. The collection is a multi-language, 18-track project structured in four thematic “movements” with strong influences of classical and religious music, as well as opera and other typically European genres like Portuguese fado.  The album quickly broke streaming records, becoming the most-played release in a single day on Spotify for a Spanish-speaking female artist with more than 42 million first-day streams. An frenzied visit on social media Rosalía took Buenos Aires by storm during a promotional visit to the city two weeks ago. From interviews to an exploration of the city, the artist shared several Instagram and TikTok posts of her experiences.  Standouts included visits to Boca Juniors’ stadium La Bombonera and a climb to the top of the Obelisco, as well as immersing herself in local traditions like drinking mate and eating Argentina’s sanguches de miga.  Rosalía also met with local celebrities, like Argentine rock legend Charly García, pop stars Lali Espósito and Emilia Mernes, and writer Mariana Enriquez. The caption of her last Instagram post in Buenos Aires read: “The sky was born in Buenos Aires [a quote from her song Reliquia] and no one can bring me down from it.”
