Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso win big at the 2026 Grammys

Argentine pop duo Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso won their first Grammy on Sunday in what proved to be landmark night for Latin artists, with Puerto Rican star Bad Bunny leading the way. Rapper Kendrick Lamar was the night’s biggest winner for the second year in a row. Lamar took home five awards, including record of the year for Luther, a duet with SZA, and best rap album for GNX. Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso won Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album for Papota during the 68th Annual Grammy Awards in Los Angeles. “We want to thank the Academy, the voting members, Sony, and everyone who believed in us,” said Paco Amoroso on the stage. “We are so grateful for this opportunity. To our family, our team, Argentina, and all of Latin America, we love you,” he added. The pair had won a Latin Grammy for best alternative music album last year, when they picked up five awards, including best alternative music song (#Tetas) and best pop song (El Día del Amigo). You may also be interested in: Watch Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso’s sweaty performance on Jimmy Fallon’s show Last December, the duo was expected to release their next album Top of the Hills, but instead announced an indefinite hiatus from their joint project, which included a world tour.  Through their social media, they cited burnout from high pressure and exposure, prioritizing mental health and rest. At the post-awards press conference on Sunday, Paco revealed he had planned to deliver a prepared speech in English, but a malfunction thwarted it.  “I pulled out the tablet with the speech in English, but it didn’t work. So, I thanked God and all the good people who helped us become this new version of ourselves,” he said.  Right next to him on stage, Ca7riel made a succinct description of what they are going through.  “No chaos,” he said. “No chaos. Chaos is part of the past.” A Latino landmark The 68th Grammys held a historic win for Latin music. Puerto Rican superstar Bad Bunny’s DeBí TiRAR MáS FOToS was named Album of the Year, the first Spanish-language album to claim the Recording Academy’s top honor. Bad Bunny delivered an emotional acceptance speech and dedicated the award to immigrants pursuing their dreams, speaking primarily in Spanish. “Before thanking God, I’m going to say ICE out,” he stated. “We are not savages, we are not animals, we are not aliens, we are human beings and we are Americans,” he added. The Puerto Rican star will be performing three sold out shows in Buenos Aires’ River Plate stadium on February 13, 14 and 15 as part of his new world tour.
