Tony Janzen Valverde, known as “Pequeño J” (Little J), the alleged narco ringleader behind the triple murder of three young women in Florencio Varela, was extradited on Monday from Peru to Argentina to face questioning in the case, judicial sources confirmed. The Peruvian national, the main suspect in the killings of Morena Verdi, Brenda del Castillo and Lara Gutiérrez in September 2025, was transferred under tight security after being handed over to Interpol by Peruvian authorities. Janzen is expected to be formally questioned by Federal Judge Jorge Ernesto Rodríguez, who is leading the investigation from Federal Court No. 2 in Morón. Images released during the transfer showed the accused with a shaved head, wearing a white prison uniform marked “INPE Perú,” the acronym of Peru’s penitentiary system. Gruesome deaths The case relates to the torture and killings of three young women in Florencio Varela, on the southern outskirts of Buenos Aires, a crime that shocked the country due to its brutality. The leading theory is that the murders were committed as part of a drug-related reprisal. According to the investigation, the victims were lured with the promise of attending a party in La Matanza, but were then taken to a house in Florencio Varela, identified as the organization’s operational base. There, they were tortured and killed, and the crimes were streamed live for other members of the gang to watch. Forensic examinations described an extreme level of violence, with different mechanisms of death in each case. After the murders, the bodies were hidden, and the vehicle used, a pickup truck, was set on fire to destroy evidence. Investigators believe Janzen played a central role in orchestrating the murders. The case also involves ten other defendants, accused of being part of an organized criminal structure, with specific roles in the crime. The charges include aggravated homicide, unlawful deprivation of liberty, and gender-based violence, among others.
